Impulse control and the role of agonists webinar with Dr Matthew Croucher

Up to 40% of people with Parkinson’s may develop impulse control disorders (ICDs), including compulsive gambling, shopping, hoarding or hypersexuality.

Dopamine-replacement medications, especially dopamine agonists, are linked to ICDs. People with ICDs may hide them because the behaviours feel pleasurable or evoke feelings of embarrassment or shame.

Identifying ICDs early and working with your Parkinson’s Educator to manage the ICDs being experienced is critically important to reduce the symptoms and risk of harm. Join us for what promises to be a very interesting and helpful presentation.
