Other ways to give

72% of New Zealanders believe corporate companies should have a relationship with non-profits.

When companies support charities, they can expect consumers to:

  • Think more highly of their company
  • Feel more loyal to their company
  • Buy more products from their company
  • Pay more for the company’s products

There are many ways you can help Parkinson’s New Zealand make a real difference to people’s lives.

Your donation could be used to assist with our ongoing projects such as the publication of new educational materials, support for UPBEAT (our special interest group for people with Early-Onset Parkinson’s), our educational conferences or general operating costs.  We would be happy to recognize your contribution by including your logo in our quarterly magazine, The Parkinsonian, and our Annual Report.

We have a range of sponsorship opportunities that can help raise profile in targeted markets either nationally or locally. These include sponsorship of seminars, events, publications and awareness campaigns. Please contact us for further information on 04 801 8850 or

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is available in New Zealand.  You can encourage your employees to take part in this scheme which allows them to choose to donate to Parkinson’s New Zealand directly from their pay and receive an immediate tax credit.  For more information, please see the IRD webpage giving.  As an employer committed to Parkinson’s New Zealand, you can also offer to match their donations, showing that you are all part of a real team effort.

The Parkinsonian is our full-colour quarterly magazine and it provides the latest research news, strategies for daily living, practical information on new products and services, regional activities and tips on how to access relevant resources.  The Parkinsonian is sent to members of Parkinson’s New Zealand, rest homes, neurologists and specialists – a readership of over 10,000 people. We often need the help of volunteers for both short term and long term projects.  If your staff would like to volunteer their skills and time to a very worth cause, please contact us on 04 472 2796 or
