Awareness Week 2018
Parkinson's Awareness Week 2018
Every year from 1 to 7 November Parkinson’s New Zealand raises awareness and money during our national Parkinson’s Awareness Week. This year our theme is Walk in My Shoes.
Parkinson’s New Zealand is encouraging people to join us for our Parkinson’s Awareness Week 1-7 November to raise awareness of Parkinson’s.
We will be promoting awareness of Parkinson’s with our Parkinson’s New Zealand shoelaces as part of our campaign in hopes of encouraging New Zealand to Walk in My Shoes.
Walk In My Shoes is a call to action. By lacing up with the Parkinson’s shoelaces and getting out in your community, you’re helping build awareness. This awareness is integral for Parkinson’s New Zealand’s outreach.
To keep up with what’s happening keep an eye out for updates from your local division and at www.parkinsons.org.nz or follow us on Facebook www.facebook/parkinsonsnz or Twitter: @parkinsonsnz
We need people on the streets and at events collecting for Parkinson’s New Zealand during our Awareness Week. If you or members of your family can lend a hand please contact your local division. If you can’t volunteer on the day there are many other ways you could help us, for example, organising people to lace up for a walk in your region or posting pictures and videos on social media with the #parkinsonsnz hashtag. It’s completely up to you what you do in your shoes. All division contact details are on our website or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0800 473 4636 for more information.
