Welcome to Parkinson's Waikato
Our Parkinson's Community Educators offer a comprehensive support service, with regular contact by home visits, phone calls, support meetings, exercise groups and special outings. We offer straight-forward information pamphlets and referrals, help with monitoring medication, general advice, advocacy and a listening ear.
Anyone is welcome to make contact, be it a person with Parkinson's, a carer, family member, neighbour or friend.
There are regular support group meetings, please check the latest copy of the newsletter for up to date information.
We have an active UPBEAT group - this is specific to anyone with early onset Parkinson's who was diagnosed before the age of 60 years and is currently under 65
