The Local Contacts are joined by a committee of eight to ensure the smooth running of the Taranaki Branch.

REGULAR MEETINGS:

North Taranaki: 
YOGA SESSION
Held each Thursday, at DeBurghs Lodge, Lawry St (next to Moturoa Four Square) beginning at 10am.  Classes will not be held during School Holidays.  Southern members are invited to attend.
Instructor: Catherine O'Neil.  Catherine will take us through a relaxation and some gentle stretches, both of which are beneficial for people with Parkinsons.  These classes are specifically for our members and their carers.
 
SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
Held 1st Tuesday of each month at DeBurghs Lodge, Lawry St (next to Moturoa Four Square) beginning at 10am.   All members welcome.   A guest speaker is invited along each month with varying topics.  Cup of tea/coffee provided.
 
SPEECH GROUP
These meetings are now held following the Support Group Meeting each month at DeBurghs Lodge. This group is for those members who have undergone the "Lee Silverman Therapy".
 
WAITARA BUDDY GROUP LUNCHEON
Held last Thursday of each month at the Queen St Restaurant (opposite the Library) commencing at 11.45am.
 
A social activity is held each month and members are encouraged to come along and join fellow members.  These activities range from Mid-Winter lunch to Games Day.  Something for everyone.  Watch your local newsletter for "What's on" and where!   
 
 

DIARY DATES:

There are a number of events in the planning for the future.  Here are some of the activities taking place during 2011.  Please diary these dates so you can be prepared when contacted by your "Buddy".
  

February 12th:

Northern BBQ at Urenui Beach Domain.  See January newsletter for further info.
 

February 28th:

Afternoon Tea at Brooklands Zoo.   Further details in attached January newsletter
