Carer Payment Options For New Zealand: Carers NZ Discussion Paper (pdf)

Carers New Zealand has developed a general discussion and position paper for stakeholders (including the Government) who have an interest in the issue of payment for family caregivers. The purpose of the paper is to detail options, define principles, and put forward their recommendations for policy, criteria and mechanisms for a carer payment package of supports or system/approach for New Zealand.

Carers New Zealand and the Carers Alliance have also put out a statement about the Ministry of Health's consultation on the subject.
